Of tiramisu there are many versions that differ in composition.

One of them is the one we present: assembled in glasses.

Tiramisu in a glass is the classic version of tiramisu, a beloved and very tasty dessert, artfully “packaged” in single-portion doses inside practical glasses.

Preparing this tiramisu is very simple and everything is very similar to the classic one, from preparing the mascarpone-based cream to making the layers with ladyfingers and final bitter cocoa.

  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar
  • 1 cup of Mascarpone cheese
  • 4 cups of cold coffee
  • 7 ounces (about 24) of ladyfinger cookies (savoiardi)
  • 1 tablespoon of cocoa powder

Before you start preparing the recipe, it is important to take a few small steps to get the best result:

1. make sure to take the mascarpone out of the refrigerator about 30 minutes before preparation;
2. make sure the eggs are at room temperature before starting the preparation.

To prepare the tiramisu in a glass, wet the ladyfingers with coffee.

In the meantime, beat the 2 egg yolks with the mascarpone and sugar with an electric whisk and, separately, whip the egg whites to stiff peaks and gently combine the two compounds.

Compose the tiramisu in a glass in this way: take flat-bottomed glasses and form a layer of appropriately cut ladyfingers on the bottom, then pour the mascarpone cream on top.

Sprinkle the tiramisu in glass with cocoa and let it rest in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
