There really is a lot of simplicity in this quick and easy first course, to be considered as an evolution of the aglio, olio e peperoncino pasta.

Spaghetti alla Maradona is a typical Neapolitan pasta dish that involves the addition, almost as if it were cheese, of a sprinkling of breadcrumbs.

In fact, the soccer player used to ask for it this way at restaurants.

SERVINGS:4

INGREDIENTS:

  • 12 oz of Spaghetti
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 1 chili pepper
  • 3 large handfuls of breadcrumbs
  • a sprig of parsley to taste
  • extra virgin olive oil to taste

METHOD

Boil the pasta water. In a frying pan, put plenty of oil, and when hot, pour in the breadcrumbs and stir until crispy.

At the end add chopped parsley to taste. In another pan, put a clove of minced garlic and chopped chili pepper.

When the garlic starts to brown turn it off.

Once the spaghetti is cooked, drain it and plunge it into the pan with oil and chili, then pour the breadcrumbs over it, mix and serve.
