This delight features a delicious ricotta filling studded with chocolate chips and candied fruit, all encased in a tender pastry shell.

SERVINGS:6

For the pastry:
  • 1 egg + 1 egg yolk
  • 1/3 cup of sugar
  • 1/3 cup of vegetable oil
  • 2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • a pinch of salt
For the filling:
  • 2 cups of ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 cup of mixed candied fruit
  • 1/3 cup of chocolate chips
  • Rum flavoring or 2 tsp of rum

 

METHOD

Mix the ricotta with the sugar, rum, and egg, then refrigerate.

Prepare the pastry and let it rest in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

Roll out the pastry on a buttered 10-inch pan, prick the base, and fill it with the ricotta cream, to which you have added the chocolate chips and candied fruit, smooth it out well.

With the remaining pastry, create strips and decorate the surface of the tart.

Bake at 350°F for 25-30 minutes.
