A light and tasty side dish.
Today we married onions with an all-Sicilian fortified wine, Marsala.
- 4 onions, cut (recipe called red onions)
- 1/4 cup Marsala wine
- 5 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- salt to taste
Place the olive oil. onions and salt in a large fry pan over medium to high heat.
Cook until the the onions become translucent.
Add the Marsala wine and cook till the onions start to brown.
Serve with Italian bread.
