Eggless and butterless cake is a wholesome and very simple cupboard cake to make at home, suitable for breakfast or a tasty snack, to accompany a cup of latte macchiato or tea.

Fluffy and versatile, it is made with just a few ingredients-milk, sugar, seed oil, flour, yeast-and lends itself to being customized according to one’s taste.






  • 1+1/3 cups of whole milk
  • 2+1/3 cups of all purpose flour
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 6 tbsp of peanut oil
  • 1 tbsp of baking powder
  • 1 tbsp of vanilla extract
  • powdered sugar to taste



  • To prepare the dairy and egg-free cake, start by pouring the granulated sugar into a large bowl.

  • Add the room temperature milk and stir to dissolve the sugar well.

  • When the mixture is smooth and even, pour in the seed oil.

  • Sift the flour and baking powder into the bowl with the liquids. and scent with the vanilla extract.

  • Using a hand whisk, mix the mixture very well: to let the cake rise: the mixture should be smooth and free of lumps.

  • At this point, butter a 10 inches diameter cake pan and pour the dough inside: move the mold to level the surface.

  • Then, bake in a preheated oven at 350 F for about 50 minutes.

  • Do the toothpick test before baking, making sure it comes out nice and dry.

  • Take the cake out of the oven and let it cool completely, then sprinkle with a little powdered sugar and enjoy.
