The preparation of mussels marinara is simple, only a few but fresh and quality ingredients are needed to make a classic recipe that is highly appreciated by all fish lovers.

SERVINGS:4

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 lb of mussels
  • parsley to taste
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 6 tbsp of extra virgin olive oil
  • 4 tbsp of dry white wine
  • salt to taste
  • toasted bread to taste

METHOD

Clean the mussels: remove any broken ones, rinse them under running water, remove the byssus (if present), and remove any encrustations from the shell with a steel straw or the tip of a knife.

Pour the oil into a nonstick pan, add the crushed garlic and brown it.

Add the mussels and, as soon as they begin to open, deglaze them with the white wine.

As soon as it evaporates, cook with the lid on and let all the mussels open.

Once they open, continue cooking for a few more minutes for the sauce to season further.

Turn off the heat, discard the remaining closed mussels, add chopped parsley and serve with slices of toasted bread.
