Ingredients:
  • 7 oz of dark chocolate
  • 1/2 cup of butter
  • 3/4 cup of sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/3 cup of all-purpose flour
  • A pinch of salt
  • Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions:
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease and flour a round cake pan.
  2. Melt the dark chocolate and butter together in a heatproof bowl set over a pan of simmering water, stirring until smooth. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and sugar together until pale and creamy.
  4. Gently fold the melted chocolate mixture into the egg and sugar mixture until well combined.
  5. Sift the flour and salt into the chocolate mixture and fold until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until the top is set but the center is still slightly wobbly.
  8. Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. Once cooled, dust the top of the cake with powdered sugar.
