INGREDIENTS:

  • 4 apples
  • 1 organic lemon, juice and zest
  • butter and flour to taste (for the cake pan)
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1/2 cup of hazelnuts
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup of yogurt
  • 1/3 cup of margarine
  • 1+ 1/2 cups of all purpose flour
  • a pinch of salt
  • 1 tbps of baking powder
  • powdered sugar to taste

 

METHOD

Peel and slice the apples, place in a bowl and drizzle with lemon juice.

Keep aside.

Grease and flour a baking dish 10 inches in diameter.

Now we will proceed with our electric whisk.

We pour the sugar, lemon zest and hazelnuts into a bowl and whisk for about 10 seconds.

Combine the eggs, margarine, baking powder, flour, and salt and whisk for 30 seconds.

We pour half of the mixture into the cake pan, spread half of the apples forming a layer without overlapping the slices, cover with the remaining mixture and finish with another layer of evil.

Bake in a hot static oven at 350 F for about 40 minutes.

Dust with powdered sugar.
