HAM AND MOZZARELLA ROLLS are a simple and very tasty dish, typical of family tradition, perfect as a main course in a good meal, perhaps accompanied by a nice salad or sautéed spinach.

Extremely easy to prepare – it really only takes a few minutes – the rolls cook in just a few minutes in a light vegetable stir-fry, which adds extra flavor to the meat.


In short, a simple, clever and really very good dish, like so many of our grandparents’ recipes….

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Prep. Time: 10 minutes

Cooking Time: 15 minutes

SERVINGS:4

INGREDIENTS:

  • 8 thinly slices round beef
  • 8 slices mozzarella cheese
  • 8 slice ham (prosciutto cotto)
  • extra virgin olive oil to taste
  • salt to taste
  • 8 toothpicks

 

METHOD

Place the ham and then the mozzarella cheese on the beef.
Fold the bottom of the beef up and the sides over.
Roll the beef and close the meat with a toothpick.
Place a non stick fry pan over medium heat, add extra virgin olive oil to coat, add the rolls and salt.
When the meat browned, turned the rolls over and cook until, browned on both sides.
Serve hot with a side dish of your choice and italian bread.
