This dessert is a perfect combination of the creamy, rich texture of ricotta and the sweet, mouthwatering flavor of chocolate, all wrapped in a light, flaky puff pastry.

It is a treat that is sure to impress at any gathering, but it is simple enough to enjoy on a quiet evening at home.





  • 2 sheets of puff pastry
  • 1 cup of ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 1/2 cup of dark chocolate chips
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)



  1. Preheat your oven to 390 F and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface. Cut each sheet into squares of about 4×4 inches.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese and sugar. Stir until the sugar is fully incorporated into the cheese.
  4. Fold in the chocolate chips into the ricotta mixture.
  5. Spoon a portion of the ricotta and chocolate mixture onto the center of each puff pastry square.
  6. Fold the corners of the square towards the center, but don’t let them touch. They should form a sort of “envelope” shape, as seen in the image.
  7. In a small bowl, beat the egg. Brush the top of each pastry with the egg wash.
  8. Place the pastries on the prepared baking tray and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the pastries are golden brown.
  9. Allow the pastries to cool for a few minutes, then dust with powdered sugar.
  10. Serve warm and enjoy this delightful treat!
