This delicious treat features the rich, velvety texture of dark chocolate, perfectly balanced with the lightness of flour and the subtle hint of cocoa powder.

  • All-purpose flour: 3/4 cup (approximately 0.37 cups)
  • Eggs: 2
  • Dark chocolate: 5.3 ounces
  • Butter: 2.6 ounces (approximately 5 tablespoons + 1 teaspoon)
  • Salt: a generous pinch
  • Granulated sugar: 1/2 cup
  • Unsweetened cocoa powder: 1/4 cup
  • Baking powder: 1 teaspoon
  • Chocolate chips: 1/3 cup



First, melt the dark chocolate with the butter and sugar in a double boiler ; it will take a bit of patience, but continue stirring until all the ingredients have melted and are well combined .
Add the two eggs to the saucepan  and stir until they are also well incorporated.
For convenience, transfer the mixture to a larger bowl and gradually add all the other ingredients: the flour , the baking powder , the salt , and the unsweetened cocoa powder .
Give it an initial stir and also add the chocolate chips.
The consistency of this dough is very particular (it will be shiny and very soft), but do not worry, it’s supposed to be like that.
Let it rest in the fridge for about an hour .
After the cooling time, form the dough into balls  and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Space the cookies well apart from each other.
Bake your cookies at 350 F (static mode) for about 15 minutes.
However, always keep an eye on them.
If they have stuck together during baking, do not worry, wait for them to cool down and then gently separate them with your hands.
