This classic Italian recipe combines tender slices of beef with the bold flavors of traditional pizzaiola sauce, creating a satisfying and irresistibly delicious culinary masterpiece.

Succulent slices of beef are simmered in a fragrant tomato sauce infused with garlic, oregano and the finest extra virgin olive oil, creating a symphony of flavors that will tantalize your palate with every bite.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 lb. of tender beef slices
  • 1 cup of fresh seasonal cherry tomatoes (or alternatively, peeled tomatoes)
  • Extra virgin olive oil, as needed
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • Salt to taste
  • Parsley to taste
  • Oregano to taste

 

METHOD:

A traditional recipe from Neapolitan cuisine, much appreciated by even the youngest children.

Take nice slices of beef and divide them into two parts (or three if they are large) trying to give them an even size.

If necessary, beat them with the blade of a knife .

Pour into a pan some extra virgin olive oil in which you will brown a clove of garlic.

Remove it and brown sufficiently first on one side and then on the other the slices, then one by one remove them from the pan and place them on the plate.

Be sure not to overcook them otherwise the meat will dry out!

Now pour into the pan the chopped tomatoes , or good peeled tomatoes, a little parsley, oregano and let them cook for about 10 minutes.

At this point add the meat with the sauce and for a handful of minutes let the flavors meld.
