This dish combines tender, thinly sliced beef with the earthy flavors of artichokes and garlic, all wrapped and pan-cooked to perfection.

It is a perfect blend of simplicity and gourmet, making it ideal for both weeknight dinners and special occasions.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 4 artichokes, cleaned and cut
  • whole garlic cloves
  • 8 thinly slices round beef
  • extra virgin olive oil to taste
  • salt to taste
  • toothpicks

 

METHOD:

Coat a fry pan with olive oil, place over medium heat and add the artichokes, garlic and salt.

Cook, covered, until tender, stirring occasionally.

Prepare the rolls by placing a few slices of artichoke in the center of a slice of meat.

Fold over the front and then the sides.

Flip the back of the meat to close the roulade and secure it with a toothpick.

Place the roulades back in the pan used to cook the artichokes.

If you have any artichokes left over, leave them in the pan. Cook the roulades over medium heat, adding more olive oil if necessary, until golden brown on all sides.

Serve hot with a side dish of your choice and Italian bread. Enjoy!
